Trumbull High School and heads to D.C.

Trumbull (WTNH) - The Trumbull High School Marching Band is all tuned-up and ready to play at an upcoming historic event. There's lots of fan-fare as The Golden Eagles left Sunday for Washington D.C.

The band got in one last practice before their next concert in Washington D.C. for the presidential inauguration. They are the only Connecticut band invited to take part in the parade, and only one of 27-nation wide. They boarded the bus after a quick concert on national TV for Good Morning America.

"I'm just looking forward to being down there and witnessing it," Pat Drzal, of Trumbull, said. "It's so exciting and the kids are really pumped up and ready to go."

"All the hard work, time and effort that they put into it over the past four, eight, ten years," Band Director Peter Horton said. "Not just the kids that are going made it possible."

Yet, even after their national success, the Trumbull High School Band still has a $10,000 shortfall according to their media relations representative.
