The Grambling State University marching band was part of the inaugural parade in Washington, D.C. today.

Grambling's band has also played for presidents Carter, Clinton and George W. Bush.

Band director Larry Pannell said being asked to be a part of today's events is a special honor for the historically black college. Obama is the nation's first black president.
